power of the mind

A new year is coming soon.

A new beginning is starting.

We should move ahead, look ahead and leave the past for reflection.

I am afraid of the unknown. Who isn't?
I am uncertain of future. Who isn't?
If you live in the past, you will not know the future.

Do not underestimate the power of the mind.

If you do not want to be encouraged. Who can?
If you belittle yourself, you are putting yourself down.
If you love yourself, you are being loved.

You are what you eat.
You are also what you think.

THE CHOICE IS URS, CHOOSE THE BETTER ONE.

Day 5- Taipei

Our last day in Taipei.. time flies. We simply have to go Dan Shui as it was highly recommended by all. It was nice with streets selling plenty of food stuffs and street food.

I enjoyed myself.

One of my faourite street delight is the Hua Zhi Yuan, stong balls lolz

Day 4 - Taipei

This is the place with breathtaking scenery - Taroko, a must go place and i dont regret paying $80/pax. Luckily for us, we have 5 people to split the cost of booking Mr Lee again for another day.
You will see mountains, waterfalls, rivers with precious stones inside (crystal jade), granite and marble stones.... I walk and walk and walk.... we took plenty of pictures today.
Mountains, Mountains and more Mountains. It was fun. On the way back, all of us slept like logs in the van.

Day 3 - Taipei

Day 3 we book a van to Yang Ming Shan, Yeh Liu and Jiu Fen. Our fabulous guide was Mr Lee, who came from Saba, Malaysia. He is very responsible, considerate and entertaining.

We spend a few hours walking leisurely in Yang Ming Park, enjoying the spectular view.

It was then Mr Lee spoke about Taroko Park in Hua Lien. We switch our itenerary after some thougths... we have to see Taroko!
I enjoyed the meal we had there, wild vegetables is yummy!!!

Yeh Liu, nice stone formation to see, a bit windy Ohhhhhh and they have
very delicious cuttlefish

Jiu Fen is a very nice place to walk around, small lane with plently of things to see and eat. We bought a lot of local foodstuff like muah chee, pineapple tarts etc

Day 2 - Taipei

Day 2 started off with us going to Zhong Zheng Memorial... a lot of people are practicing street dancing and cheerleading there. It is a very big area... nice to walk around.

We stop by at Ding Tai Fung for lunch. It is similar to what singapore branch. The differences are staff there are more friendly, more customer service orientated. They are so busy yet they make sure that our cups are always filled with tea. They are also very polite to customers :). Food is also much cheaper in Taipei than Singapore. We went to Tapei 101 building after that... it was very tall. The laser display in the lift was a surprise and i quickly took a picture of it. The design of the building has a "Jie Jie Gao Shen" meaning as the building structure looks like "Jie Jie", layered structured. This was told to us by Mr Lee, our most fathery and friendly guide.

We went to Shi Lin Night Market for street delights at night. It was crowed with people and bursting with life.
Aftering hearing so much about the chicken chop in taiwan, our main objective is to eat the chicken chop. NICe or NOt? Much better than the one we have in singapore.

Day 1 - Taipei

We landed in Taipei at about 7pm.

We took express bus called Freego, direct translation to mandrain there is 飞狗.

It cost about 135NT/pax.

We checked in to Royal Castle hotel, a small and comfortable hotel near to Si Meng Ding Metro station.

Then we proceed to shop around there... it was v v v cold man... when the wind blows. Me and Mee C min have to buy a thicker jacket to keep the cold away. Our dinner was settled on the very first shop we could find as we are very hungry... we refuse to spend $$ on JetStar food.
After dinner, we shop ard + keeping a lookout for other interesting things to makan... i wanted to try Ah Zhong Mien Xian... and finally got my wish after walking for 1 hr plus... the noodle is nice, but the white pieces of stuff inside is gross... i think its pig intestine.
