weekend

i am very sad to find white hairs. Olive told me about it, latte gal pulled 3 pure white hair from my scalp. O-M-Y-G-O-S-H! AGe is catching up.... the 3 strands of white hair is pure white, from the roots to tip. AH PUIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

Sat we went to Yilise's house warming. I like the sea view, very windy too. The place is uniquely design, open concept with no locks on the bedrooms door. Food was good, we gals made fondue, which was quite well received except for bananas.

The highlight of the night is the spread of cheese we tried. It was something new for me. Now i know there are about 350 kinds of cheese in France, and the French definitely loved them. As for me, i find the taste very strong. Looks can be deceiving when it comes to cheese, something that look like the normal kraft cheese in supermarket actually taste 10x stronger, pungent like ammonia smell.

Yo SMRT Yo Yo

Today so heng, internet up, these 2 days at home cannot surf net, dunno what happen to my ISP... sigh...vomit blood.

I am still suffering from some back ache from sunday smrt challenge, we failed to complete the race as this is our first time, in-experienced and spent too much time on one of the station.

Overall, we had fun and enjoyed ourselves... my team consist of latte gal, uncle sk, Latte gal colleague, HC and I. We keep bumping into latte gal colleague, Dave's team. One particular hilarious moment is when we were ask to rap a poem.... Yo Yo Yo was what came into our mind... so does Dave's team. Theirs were much louder than our, we can hear their rap loud and clear, especially the yo yo yo.

Although it is a courtesy game, one team came in front of me when i am waiting for taxi by the road side and get a cab ride before me... what a BOO!

I have to take my hat off HC, he was very enthu and most of the physical stuff is done by him, haha. His never give up spirit and encouraging words helped to push the team forward... even last 30mins he is still asking us whether we want to chiong for another stop... :p

We were dead beat by the time we went back... and hungry... for 6 hours, we went without much stop. All of us survived on water and some sandwiches i made. Thus, we didnt wait for the prize giving cos the whole event took too long.

Alright enuff about SMRT... i am dead beat now... going to sleep.

Sakae Teppanyaki

I went to try the new sakae teppanyaki at cinleisure over the weekend. Its something new so me and uncle sk was quite excited about it. The picture how my chawanmushi, cooked in front of me. It is cooked in an onion ring.

I think this concept is quite good.

First, you are looking at food being cooked in front of u, with ease and no oily smoke blown to ur face. Feel ur saliva drool.

Second, you get to taste the food hot! The very moment they are cooked.

Third, its quite delicious. i ordered seafood dinner, yummy, loved the mushrooms!

monday

ok today i discover SM participated in SMRT challenge last year... haha got a big shock she would enter this type of sporty event, cos she always strike people as anti sun gal as she is very fair.

Well, the challenge sounds tough, and she says there are people who can complete the race in 2 hours plus...they took 5 hours to complete. I am thinking... how did some complete in 2 hrs? This sun is our turn to try first time... With a trong team of 4 from various circles of life and working environment, i think we stand a good chance in dicphering the clues.

Today is a v busy day at work... so rush that i dun have time to finish my hor fan... and have to eat bread at the end of the day. I think i shall sleep early today.

I just finished uploading my zoo photos to flickr, think Ah li u better dun see the animals ones u kw, but i have some v cute children photos... so cubby, u can see more. haha

today is saturday... monday coming

Today is the briefing for SMRT Challenge. Me and Lattegal attend the briefing. It was a big scarifice for us. We gave up our precious sleep (raining wor, very nice to sleep de) and reached the city hall at 830am. Next sunday, we will be entering the SMRT challenge. Looking forward to it as its the first time for us. Wish us Luck!

We went for Ah Kun breakfast after the briefing, ard 10am. As we went pass donut factory, surprising there is someone queuing already. After breakfast, i decided to see if we can get some doughnuts too... the queue has lengthen at 1030am. What time do you think the shop will open??? i tot its 11am, as people are queuing already at 10am.

I am totally wrong. The shop open at 12 noon. I admire these people patience and preservance., and they are limited to 2 dozen doughnuts i heard... is it that nice? worth to wait for 1.5 hours? They deserved free doughnuts for queuing early. I would never be able to do that... haha

Zoo

ytd i went to the zoo with Mee-C min and her Cousin ZL. We wanted to take pictures of animals. Using my power lens haha, i managed to capture some very upclose pictures of giraffe, zebras and orangutans - refer to my flickr photos.

it was an afternoon well spent. Never knew zoo would be so fun. We stop at each animal for quite a long time as we are snapping away, trying to get some good shots. As it is the school holidays, the zoo is littered with children. Some of them look so adorable that makes your heart melts. I took some pictures of them too.

Monday is coming soon, there is absolutely nothing to look forward to on monday. How i wish i am so super duper rich that i dont need to work, just take photos.

boring day

my eyes are too tired to work, keep yawning... big time

today is a dull day, nothing fantastic happened... i wanted to exchange my old mascara for a sample of lancome new virtose mascara but out of stock already, sad... y cant they reserved some for members, umph!!!

Doughnut queue was super super long so i didnt get to buy, in fact i have never bought it b4, so i dont think i have the chance to buy at all cos no matter what day, what time, the queue is long.

Today just flew by.... boring boring boring

Ubin on 1st sep

1st sep 2007
Mission: Conquer Pulau Ubin
Task force: 4 people (latte gal, Mee-C min, Uncle SK and Me)
Weapons: Nikon, Canon, Sunblock, no-use mosqito repellant, bicycle
Start: 730 - 6pm
730-9am : journey to changi jetty + breakfast at hawker center... We ate Nasi lemak, peanut pancake, waffle, carrot cake, chicken chop hor fan and beancurd. Dont be surprised by the heavy meal, it must last us till dinner!!! Mee-C min ate with gusto! "latte gal was complaining she forgot her cap all the way"

10+ am: we reached ubin, decided to trek to ubin quarry area to see the stone goddness of mercy. Took us about 1 hour plus to reach there as me and Mee-C min stop to take pictures. when we finally reached the place, we rested for more than 30 mins, taking pictures of the stone, praying and drink water form the oh-yeh, oh-yeh uncle stall. He is a very nice uncle, told us many stories about ubin.... with his encounter with the 3rd dimension world... guan tian hua re, gave us goosebumps! "latte gal was still lamenting about her cap"

12+ noon: we went back to the starting point, decided to rent a bicycle to check out chek jawa... although we were already quite tired, we decided to go ahead as the trip will not be complete if we never go see the broadwalk which we have heard so much about. "latte gal almost bought a cap"

1-4pm: we took about 3 hours + to finish the trip, the tracks we rode were horrendous, bumpy, scary with many steep slopes. i have to push my bicycle up the slope as my legs turned to jelly as soon as i went up a slope. then again as we came down the slope, the bumpy road gave us a natural, free massage on our backside- all our bottoms are quite toned now.

i had a great fall when i came down one of the slope, it just happened when i almost succeeded my most dangerous stunt of coming down the steepest road i ever seen.... all the rest managed to overcome it before me, so i was the last one but i failed. I am lucky to be wearing capri if not i think the impact on the ground would have torn more of my skin away. My poor capri was torn as it help to protect my knee from the frictional impact. i substain some scratches, blood and bruises on my knee and palm. Thank goddnesss of mercy, i didnt broke my arm and my
camera was intact."latte gal forgotten about her lack of cap momentarily"


4+pm: we went back to the starting point and decided to end our tiring day. SEAFOOD, YUMMY and CHEAP(according to uncle sK) by the sea is our reward. WE FEASTed on it.

Guess what, we never take cab wor, we took a bus to tampines, and slept all the way. Then we took MRT and on the way LATTE GAL DISCOVERED THAT SHE STRIKE 4D!!! This perk us us up straight away and i think she can now buy a new cap for herself! She treated us ice-cream at swensen. I think goddness of mercy has rewarded all of us, thank you!!!

Now, my back is aching and my leg feels like stone. I am going for extra duties soon... argh
